The main research field is the multiphase flow reaction engineering, and has established a rational understanding of the excellent fluidity and transfer ability of the gas-solid fluidization system. A series of preliminary research results have been provided on the compressibility and flow stability of multiphase systems.

Dr. Chenxi Zhang joined the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University in 2020, currently an assistant researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University, Deputy Director of the Research Center for Fluid Syngas to Aromatics (FSTA) (2020), Young Director of the Chinese Particle Society (2020); selected in 2021 -2023 Beijing Association for Science and Technology "Young Talents Support Project", won the 2020 "Postdoctoral Excellent Academic Monograph Publishing Funding", 2020 Particuology Excellent Reviewer, the first "China Chemical Society Doctoral Dissertation Award" (2019), the first " Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Chinese Society of Particulates" (2018), Outstanding Graduate of Beijing (2018); successively presided over the Science and Technology Innovation Fund of China National Petroleum Corporation (2021), Saudi Aramco International Cooperation Fund (2020), Inner Mongolia Department of Science and Technology Major Project sub-projects (2020), National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Fund (2019), Postdoctoral Science Fund General Special Funding (2019) and Postdoctoral Science Fund General First Class Funding (2018); 31 invention patents were applied for, and the authorization was approved 15 items.
