Prof. Zhenzhong Yang obtained his bachelor, master and Ph. D. in polymer science and engineering from Tsinghua University in 1991, Jilin University in 1994, Institute of Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) in 1997. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at BASF (Germany) during 1997-1998. Since October,1998, he worked at ICCAS as assistant research professor, associate professor. In April 2003, he was promoted as full professor. In April 2018, he joined Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University as full professor. He ever served as Secretary General of Chinese Chemical Society, Deputy director of ICCAS, Director of Polymer Physics and Chemistry Laboratory. He focuses on research and education of polymer science and engineering. The research includes: 1) design and synthesis of polymer composites (hollow particles and capsules, nanoporous composites, Janus structures), performance and engineering; 2) crosslinked structures of single polymer chains and functional composites. Some awards include National Science Funding for Distinguished Young Scholars (2003), Chief Scientist of Major Project by Ministry of Science and Technology (2011), National Natural Science Award (Class 2, 2013), National High-Level Personnel Special Support Program (2016).
