Dr. Jianhong XU received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. at Tsinghua University in 2002 and 2007 respectively. He continued his research in Tsinghua University as a postdoctor after graduation. He finished the postdoctoral program in May 2009, and became a formal faculty of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University. At present, his research areas are focusing on the microstructured chemical systems and functional microscale materials. He has published more than 160 peer-reviewed papers. He was awarded the National/ Provincial Science & Technology Awards for eight times as one of the main achievers. His Ph.D thesis was elected as the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of China in 2009. He was awarded as “2012 Emerging Investigator” by Lab on a Chip (RSC) and “2017 Class of Influential Researchers” by Ind Eng Chem Res (ACS). In 2013, he got the “Excellent Young Scientists Fund” from NSFC. In 2016, he was awarded as Young Scholar of “Cheung Kong Scholars Program of China” by The Ministry of Education. In 2020, he obtained the “The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars” from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
