LIN Yakai

Research Direction: Preparation processes of novel medical
E-mail:yk_lin@tsinghua.edu.cn

Dr. Yakai Lin earned his Ph.D. in 2010 from Tsinghua University, focusing on the preparation of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) microporous membranes using the thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) method. Subsequently, he joined Beijing Scinor Membrane Technology Co., LTD as Vice General Manager to facilitate the industrialization of TIPS preparation technology for PVDF microporous membranes. In 2020, he assumed the role of Assistant Researcher at Tsinghua University and was promoted to Associate Professor two years later. During this time, his research expanded to include the preparation of oxygenation, ultrafiltration, and nanofiltration membranes through TIPS, hybrid induced phase separation (HIPS), or interfacial polymerization methods, with a focus on their applications in medical and water treatment fields. Dr. Lin has received numerous engineering awards and has published over 40 papers in internationally recognized journals. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Editorial Board for Results in Engineering since 2024.
