E-mail:yuanlu@tsinghua.edu.cn

Yuan Lu received his bachelor's degree in 2004 and his Ph.D. in 2009 from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University. Following his Ph.D. graduation, he conducted postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University (2009-2010) and Stanford University (2010-2014) in the United States. Subsequently, he was appointed as a Project Researcher at the University of Tokyo, Japan (2014-2016). In 2016, Dr. Lu Yuan joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University as a faculty member. He currently holds the position of Tenured Associate Professor and serves as a doctoral advisor.

His research centers on: driving interdisciplinary convergence toward the extreme, intelligently manipulating the atoms, molecules, networks, and interfaces across multiple scales, continuously pushing the boundaries of human cognition, and triggering chain reactions of technological innovation and dimensional upgrades.

His primary research focus on: establishing a new paradigm of synergistic interweaving between “matter-energy-information-life” within spatiotemporal frameworks to achieve intelligent material transformation, which will accelerate disruptive innovation in material manufacturing, future energy, human health, and consciousness reconstruction while fostering emerging and future industries.
