Dr. DENG Jian obtained his bachelor's and doctoral degrees in college of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Lanzhou University in 2003 and 2008, respectively. He worked as postdoctoral researcher in University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2008 to 2010. Since 2011, he devoted to pharmaceutical industry for six years as R&D manager in charge of customer communication, team management, process R&D, process control, and manufacturing of APIs and intermediate chemicals. Dr. Deng jointed the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2017 as a research assistant and was appointed as an assistant researcher in 2019. His current researches focus on Flow Chemistry and Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing of Fine Chemicals. The specific research contents include 1) the new chemistry in micro/small reactors; 2) continuous, green and safe synthesis of fine chemicals (APIs, agricultural chemicals, N-containing energetic materials and functional polymers); 3) the industrial applications of flow chemistry technology; 4) the methodology of process R&D and industrial application based on flow chemistry technology. He has published 30 SCI-cited articles and 4 open/authorized patents.
