Dr. Kai Liu is currently an assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University. Prior to joining Tsinghua, he worked as postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University. He received his Ph. D. degree in Tsinghua University. Dr. Kai Liu’s research is focused on polymer materials for renewable energy storage and conversion (such as polymer solid electrolyte membrane for lithium batteries and anion exchange membrane for water splitting). His research efforts have appeared in a number of high impact journals such as Science Advances, JACS, Joule, Angew Chem, Adv Mater etc. and have been highlighted in several scientific journals and popular medias such as Science, Nature Materials, NPG Asia Materials, CNN, BBC. Dr. Kai Liu was the winner of many academic award, MIT technology review 35 under 35 (China), Dinitris N. Chorafas Young Investigator Award etc.
