E-mail:wf-dce@tsinghua.edu.cn

Cheung Kong Scholar Professor Wei Fei, the director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Green Chemical Reaction Engineering & Technology at Tsinghua University, is the vice - president of Chinese Society of Particuology. Professor WEI Fei received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the University of Petroleum, China in 1984, 1987 and 1990, respectively. As a visiting professor, he worked at the Ohio State University and the University of Western Ontario, Canada in 1996 and 1998, respectively. His current research projects include carbon nanotube mass production, downer reactor, multistage turbulent fluidized bed, coal to chemicals process. A full range of theoretical to practical applications is studied here, such as R&D of the gas - solids flow structure of gas - solid turbulent fluidized bed, measurement of nano - powder characterization and flow, optimum design of catalytic fluidized bed reactors. He has experience of successfully design more than 30 industrialized fluidized bed reactors, such as 600 kt/a fluidized bed methanol to propylene (under construction), 10000 t/a fluidized bed carbon nanotube reactor, 150 kt/a Downer - type catalytic cracking reactor. He has published more than 600 journal papers with 68000 citations.
