WANG Haihui

Dr. Haihui Wang received Ph.D degree (2003) from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academic Science. He was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow and research associate at Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany (2003 - 2007). From 2007 to Oct. 2020 He was a full professor at the School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering at South China University of Technology. Since Nov. 2020, he jointed Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University. Dr. Wang’s main research areas are inorganic membranes, membrane reactors, electrocatalysis, batteries. He has published over 300 refereed papers in chemical engineering and materials science SCI journals; he is an inventor of 50 patents, his papers have received more than 33000 citations (with google H-index of 95 as of 2024). Dr. Wang received several awards, including Excellent Presidential Award, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2003), The Alexander von Humboldt Fellow (2003), New Century Excellent Talents in Universities of China (2007), Award from Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation, Hongkong (2008), Pearl River Scholar for Distinguished Professor (2011). He got Distinguished Young Scientist Foundation, National Nature Science Foundation of China (2012). He was awarded as Fellow of The Royal Society of Chemistry in 2016. He was awarded as Changjiang Chair professor of Chinese Ministry of Education in 2017 and The State Council special allowance by the Government. He was also award the Natural Science Award of Guangdong Province (1st class) (2014), National Natural Science Award(2nd class) (2015) and Natural Science Award from Ministry of Education of China (1st class) (2019), XPlorer Prize (2021) and Invention Award from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (2023).
