Dr. LU Diannan received his bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2000 and 2006, respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Tsinghua University from 2006 to 2008. Dr. Lu joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University, in 2008. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as visiting scholar at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University. Now Dr. Lu is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in molecular thermodynamics with a particular interest in biomolecules and nanofluids. Briefly, His research interests are 1) Intelligent design and mechanism of enzyme catalysis, 2) Nanofluid and biomimetic design of nano-devices, and 3) Soil bioremediation. Dr. Lu teaches Physical Chemistry and Thermodynamics for undergraduates and Advanced Thermodynamics for graduates. He has published over 80 SCI-cited papers, four reviews, four book chapters, one translation, one textbook, and 17 authorized patents. Dr. Lu was awarded the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of PR China in 2008. He was selected into Tsinghua 211 project and Importation and Development of High-Caliber Talents Project of Beijing Municipal Institutions. In 2017, he was awarded The First-Class Award of Teaching Competition of Youth Faculties by Beijing Municipal Education Bureau. In 2018, he was awarded The Best Teaching Award of Young Faculties by Tsinghua University. In 2020, he won the 4th Outstanding Young Teacher Award of Beijing.
