Professor Liu Dehua got his Bachelor degree and Doctor degree in Tsinghua University in 1986 and in 1991, respectively. Since 1991, he had spent 8 years at Institute of Process Engineering in Chinese Academy of Science as post doctor, associate professor and full professor (including as visiting scholar at Purdue University, USA from Oct. 1994 to July. 1995). From May 1999, he has been working as director of Institute of Applied Chemistry in Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University. He was the co founder and has been the director of China-Brazil Center for Climate Change and Energy Technology Innovation since 2010. He has been being the director of China-Latin America Joint Lab of Clean Energy and Climate Change since 2016. His specialized felds are renewable resources and bio-energy engineering, ferment ation technology, bioreaction engineering, metabolic engineering, etc. So far, he has published more than 300 papers and fled more than 130 patents.
