On November 25, the award ceremony for the "Tsinghua Friends - Changxing Scholarship", "Tsinghua Friends - Kao Ying-shih Scholarship", and "Tsinghua Friends - Cheng Xiankang Memorial Scholarship" was held. Distinguished guests in attendance included Shi Zongkai, Vice Chairman of the Tsinghua University Council and Vice President of the Tsinghua Alumni Association; Ji Jingwei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Tsinghua University Education Foundation; Wei Lian, Deputy Director of the Graduate Affairs Department of Tsinghua University; Lu Yuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University; Chen Xiang, Director of the Graduate Working Group of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University; Dong Guifang, Director of the Student Working Group of the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University; Huang Jinghui, Secretary to Mr. Kao Ying-shih (Founder of Changxing Material Industrial Co., Ltd.) and Director of the Changxing Art Museum; Gao Zhiyu, Director of the Research Institute of Changxing Material Industrial Co., Ltd.; Zhang Jigang, Chief Technology Officer of Changxing (China) Investment Co., Ltd.; and Lin Zhiguo, Director of the Kao Ying-shih Chinese Culture Collection and Education Foundation.

Shi Zongkai delivers a speech

On behalf of Tsinghua University, Shi Zongkai expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Kao Ying-shih for his long-term care for the growth of Tsinghua students and recalled the touching deeds of Mr. Cheng Xiankang, who was rigorous, responsible and selflessly dedicated during his tenure at Tsinghua. He stated that he hoped the students, while solidifying their academic foundations and forging their moral character, would deepen their understanding of the spiritual connotation embodied by the three scholarships, inherit and carry forward excellent cultural traditions, and bravely shoulder social responsibilities on their future life paths.

Huang Jinghui delivers a speech

Huang Jinghui delivered a speech on behalf of Mr. Kao Ying-shih, Founder of Changxing Material Industrial Co., Ltd. She extended warm congratulations to all award-winning students and conveyed Mr. Kao Ying-shih's sincere blessings to them. She mentioned that Mr. Kao Ying-shih has always cared about the development of Tsinghua University and the growth of young students, and expected the students to base themselves on their majors, consolidate their academic achievements, cherish their family and country, have the courage to take responsibility, pursue excellence in future study, scientific research and work practice, and serve society with practical actions.

Gao Zhiyu delivers a speech

On behalf of Changxing Material Industrial Co., Ltd., Gao Zhiyu delivered a speech and congratulated the award-winning students. He introduced the company's development philosophy of "R&D Innovation, Pursuit of Excellence, and Repayment to Society" adhered to over the years, thanked Tsinghua University for its long-term efforts in talent training, and expressed expectations for further strengthening exchanges and cooperation in industry-university-research and other fields in the future.

This year, a total of 50 doctoral students from the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Chemistry received the "Tsinghua Friends - Kao Ying-shih Scholarship"; 16 graduate and undergraduate students were awarded the "Tsinghua Friends - Changxing Scholarship"; and 2 undergraduate students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Architecture obtained the "Tsinghua Friends - Cheng Xiankang Memorial Scholarship". Huang Jinghui, Kao Chih-yu, and Wei Lian presented awards to representatives of the winning students respectively.
