长期从事多相反应工程研究和新过程开发,主要在流态化、等离子体化工、微化工技术、电化学工程和工业催化的前沿领域工作,代表性工作包括热等离子体煤制乙炔,废弃塑料转化,气固相法合成氯化高聚物,乙烷氧化脱氢制乙烯,乙炔法合成N-乙烯基化合物,电化学催化氧化技术,毫秒级制氢和甲烷化,纳米药物制备等等。已发表学术论文300多篇,授权发明专利40余项,作为第一完成人获教育部自然科学奖一等奖和石化联合会科技进步奖一等奖各一项。目前担任《化工进展》、《石油化工》和《低碳化学与化工》等期刊编委。2020年,其负责的《反应工程基础》课程获得首批国家级一流本科课程以及清华大学标杆课称号;2023年,获评北京市高等学校教学名师。
