She Peng's Home Page

Oct, 2004

Greetings!  Thanks for stopping by.

My name's Peng, and I'm a fifth-year doctoral student at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.  I work for Prof. Liu Zheng in the institute of Biochemical Engineering, which is a branch of the department of Chemical Engineering.  My project is a study on the cell behaviors under weak electric field, and the development of electro-enhanced bioremediation technique. For more on this and other research projects, check out the Liu Group web site.

At present I am also a guest researcher at the Delft University of Technology in Delft, the Netherlands. My stay will last until Jan. 2005 with the financial aid from Huygens Scholarship. Here I work for Prof. Mark van Loosdrecht in the department of Biotechnology. The study is focusing on heterotrophic biofilm and its behavior under weak electric field, as an extension of my previous work in Tsinghua. For more relevant information, check out the Mark Group web site.

Biographical Sketch

She Peng received the B.S. degree in chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2000. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree as a member of the Institute of Biochemical Engineering at Tsinghua University.

His current research interests include cell electrostimulation process, waste water/soil treatment via biological approaches and the so-called "electro-enhanced bioremediation technique".

Here you will find a little bit of information about myself including a summary of my research at Tsinghua and Delft, and a copy of my resume.
