  The research into bioseparation technology is  
currentlybeing directed to the recovery and purification
of bioactive species from plant and animal cell culture,
large scale biocatalysis process, and natural resources
as well. Products of research interest include organic
acid, antibiotics, proteins, biodegradable materials and
polypeptides. To meet the growing but diversified demands, we have extended our
efforts into the following research areas:
1.Extraction of effective components from Chinese Herbs by supercritical fluid
technology
2.Crystallization in supercritical fluid
3.Computational Fluid Dynamics simulation aided design of large scale
electrophoresis of proteins
4.SMART ( environmental stimuli responsive) media for bioseparation
5.Molecular imprinted chromatographic media
6.? Protein refolding in vitro via artificial chaperon, urea gradient generated by
electric field, and surfactant extraction and stripping
