A. Postdoctoral Research Station for Chemical Engineering and Technology

Brief Introduction
Postdoctoral Research Station for Chemical Engineering and Technology was founded in 1985. It is one of the first approved research stations in China, involving Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Biochemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry. The discipline of Chemical Engineering was approved as National Key Discipline in 1985. Ph. D. Program of Chemical Engineering and Technology was approved as Class A in 1998. More than 100 post doctors worked in postdoctoral research station since it opened. Now there are over 30 post doctors in the Station.
In the Postdoctoral Research Station, there are 35 full time professors and researchers, among which 28 are doctoral advisers, involving two members of Chinese Academy of Sciences, two members of Chinese Academy of Engineering. The Station holds a high academic level with its cross-disciplines, widen interests, strong synthesis and so on. Up to now, the Postdoctoral Research Station has been finished the following projects:
• More than 20 R&D programs of the 8 th Five Year Plan and the 9 th Five Year Plan
• More than 50 NSFC programs, involving 6 for General and Key programs, and 1 for Distinguish Young Scholars
• Nearly 100 for ministry programs
• 200 other programs
The Postdoctoral Research Station received the following awards:
• 5 National Science and Technology Progress Awards
• 40 Science and Technology Progress Awards at provincial and ministry level
The annual average financial support is above ¥ 15 million.

Each discipline in the Station has experiment base, involving Solvent Extraction Laboratory of the State Key Laboratory of Engineering, Beijing Key Laboratory of Green Chemical Reaction Engineering and Technology, Class A Laboratory of Tsinghua University. The Station also possesses

many sets of advanced apparatus and equipment. It holds an excellent scientific research environment.

B. Postdoctoral Research Station for Polymer Science and Engineering ( Institute of Polymer Science and Engineering)

Introduction
The Institute of Polymer Science and Engineering, at the Department of Chemical Engineering is a membership of the Institute of Material Science and Technology of Tsinghua University. It's also a part of the Advanced Material Open Lab of State Education Committee. It holds an excellent teaching and research team. The Institute finished more than 10 projects of R&D program of the 8th Five Year Plan and the 9th Five Year Plan, “863” and "973" plan and NSFC programs. The Institute received many awards of National Science and Technology Awards and Science and Technology Awards at ministry and provincial level. Remarkable achievements in tech-transfer have been obtained. There are many sets of advanced equipment in the Postdoctoral Research Station. It possesses an excellent research condition.
